Circle of Friends Scholarship
As a Center of Healing, Live Right Wellness has been on the journey of healing with a special family who lost their daughter at the age of 18 in 2016 to hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).
On December 3rd, 2016, a small group of friends came to Live Right Wellness with the intention of holding a prayer vigil for their dear friend, Vanessa. She had fallen ill and had been fighting HLH for a week. As the children arrived at the studio, one of the parents received the unexpected phone call of Vanessa’s passing moments before their arrival. Our prayer circle, in that moment, became a grieving circle. In such deep and tragic loss, this moment defined the true mission of Live Right Wellness. We became a center of healing. It became our our purpose to be fully present for those in need, whether it be from an emotional, mental or physical place of healing. Through the loss of this beautiful child, we stepped forward and formed a circle of friendship….we began building our community from this small group of friends. Vanessa reminds us that life, no matter how brief, is immeasurable and we are here to make it count. We are here to make a difference. Vanessa and her circle of friends have made that immeasurable difference in our lives here at LRW.
The Circle of Friends Scholarship Fund was started to honor the life of Vanessa Carbone and is dedicated to lifting up those who wish to pursue a life in the healing arts and may not otherwise have the means to access the training they need.
